  • Collaborator agreements
A collaborator agreement is a contract between you and someone who worked on your release, such as a featured artist, a producer, or the artist whose song you sampled. You fill it in from a template on the release, both of you sign it in AMM Distro, and any royalty share in it becomes a royalty split automatically. AMM Distro handles signing and payouts but isn't a party to your agreement. Templates Open Releases and click the release. Open the Agreements tab. Click **New aFew readers
  • Accept a royalty split invitation
When an artist shares a track's royalties with you, we email you an invitation. Accept it to start receiving your share. Until you accept, your share goes to the artist, not to you. If you're new to AMM Distro Open the invitation email and click the link. The page shows Royalty split invitation, the track, who invited you and Your share. Enter Your name and the Email address the invitation was sent to. Click Accept & Sign In. We email you a sign-in link; openFew readers
  • Statements paid in another currency
Some stores and partners pay us in a currency other than US dollars, such as euros. Until that payment arrives and is converted, your share from that statement shows as Pending on the Money page. It's an estimate, and it becomes part of your available balance once the payment clears. Where you'll see it On the Money page, a Pending amount appears under your Current Balance: Estimated from a statement paid in a foreign currency, updated as exchange rates move. • When do I get paid?
We pay royalties automatically in scheduled payout runs. You're included once three things are true: you have a payout method, your tax form is approved, and your balance is at least $50. There's no withdrawal button and nothing to request. The Getting paid checklist The Getting paid checklist at the top of the Money page shows exactly where you are: "Complete these steps once. After that, payouts happen automatically." ![The Getting paid checklist with Add a payout method, TaxFew readers
  • Advances and recoupment
If you received an advance, or the label paid costs for a release such as marketing or production, that amount is recovered from the release's earnings before your split applies. This is called recoupment. The Recoupment card on the release shows how much has been recovered so far. See your recoupment progress Open Releases and click the release. On the Overview tab, find the Recoupment card: "Advance and costs recovered before your split applies". If the label sharesFew readers
  • Download and read your royalty statement
You can download your royalty statement from the Money page as an Excel spreadsheet. It shows what you earned on every track, from every store and country, with the label's share and any splits already applied. Download a statement All your earnings: click Download Statement at the top of the Money page. One month: under Earnings by Statement, click the spreadsheet icon next to the month. ![The Royalties & Payments header with the Download Statement button](https://Few readers
  • Split royalties with collaborators
You can share a track's royalties with producers, writers, featured artists or anyone else who worked on it. Add them on the release's Royalties tab, and we email them an invitation. Once they accept, we pay their share to them directly. How the percentages work A split divides the artist share of a track's earnings: what's left after the label's or platform's share. Each collaborator gets their percentage of that, and anything not allocated goes to the account owner. For example,Few readers
  • Set up payouts
To get paid, add a payout method on the Money page: PayPal (recommended) or a bank account. You only do this once. After that, we pay your balance automatically on a schedule; there's nothing to request. Open the payout settings Go to Money. In the Getting paid checklist, click Add payout method. You can also click Set Up Payouts under your balance. The Payout destination window opens. ![The Payout destination window with the PayPal email field, the SFew readers
  • Tax forms: W-9 and W-8BEN
Before we can pay you, we need a tax form on file: a W-9 if you're a US person, or a W-8BEN if you're not. You don't fill it in inside AMM Distro. You tell us your tax residency and address, and we email you a secure link to complete the form with our tax-form provider. • Tax withholding for artists outside the US
If you're not a US person, US law requires us to withhold tax from your royalties before we pay you. The standard rate is 30%. If your country has a tax treaty with the US, you can usually lower it by confirming your treaty claim and adding your own country's tax ID in Settings → Tax Documents. How it works You complete a W-8BEN (see Tax forms: W-9 and W-8BEN). Until a treaty rate applies, 30% is withheld from your royalties at each payout. If your country has a treatFew readers
  • Payout fees
A small processing fee is taken from each payout. It comes out of the payout itself, so you don't pay anything separately, and you never pay a fee when you're not being paid. Common questions Why is my payout less than my balance? The processing fee is taken from the payout. If you're outside the US, tax may also be withheld before you're paid. • How earnings work
Stores pay for the streams and uses of your music, and we turn those payments into a monthly royalty statement. Your share of each statement is added to your balance on the Money page, and once you're set up to be paid, we pay your balance out automatically. From a stream to your balance Fans stream or use your music on Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, YouTube and the other stores. Stores report and pay. Stores report earnings monthly, usually a month or two after the streamsFew readers
