Statements paid in another currency

Some stores and partners pay us in a currency other than US dollars, such as euros. Until that payment arrives and is converted, your share from that statement shows as Pending on the Money page. It's an estimate, and it becomes part of your available balance once the payment clears.

Where you'll see it

On the Money page, a Pending amount appears under your Current Balance:

Estimated from a statement paid in a foreign currency, updated as exchange rates move. It becomes available once the payment clears and the final rate is locked in.

What happens next

  1. The statement arrives in the other currency. We calculate your share and convert it to US dollars at the current exchange rate. This estimate is your Pending amount.
  2. The estimate can move a little as exchange rates change.
  3. The payment clears. We finalize the statement using the US dollar amount we actually received.
  4. Your share becomes available at the final amount and is included in your next payout.

The final amount can be slightly higher or lower than the estimate.

Pending money isn't paid out yet

Only your Available balance is included in payouts. A pending amount doesn't count toward the $50 minimum until it becomes available.

On your statement

When you download your statement, pending earnings appear in the Summary sheet as Pending (estimate, awaiting payment), and the lines have the status Pending (estimate). Everything on the statement is shown in US dollars.

Common questions

How long does a pending amount take to become available?

It depends on when the payment reaches us. It becomes available as soon as the statement is finalized.

Why did my pending amount change?

The estimate follows the exchange rate until the payment clears.

I'm paid into a bank account in another currency. Is that the same thing?

No. That's about how your payout is deposited, not how a statement was paid to us. We pay in US dollars, and the amount is converted into your bank's currency when it's deposited. See Set up payouts.
