Get access to Spotify for Artists and other artist tools

Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists and TikTok for Artists are run by the stores themselves. You request access from the store, and the store decides whether to give it to you. We can't add you to these tools, but we can help if a store asks for information from your distributor.

Before you request access

• The artist profile has to exist on the store. For a new artist, the store creates the profile when the first release is delivered. Check the release's Delivery tab to see when each store has it.
• Make sure your release is on the right profile. If it went to another artist's page, fix that first. See My release is on the wrong artist page.
• Have the profile link ready. You can copy it from Settings → Artists if it's linked there, or from the store.

Spotify for Artists

1. Go to artists.spotify.com and sign in with a Spotify account, or create one.
2. Choose to claim an artist profile, then search for the artist or paste the Spotify profile link.
3. Follow Spotify's steps to confirm you're the artist or work for them. Spotify reviews each request.

Once you have access, you can turn on Artist Profile Protection in Settings. If you do, tell us when you build your next release. See Spotify Artist Profile Protection.

Apple Music for Artists

1. Go to artists.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.
2. Search for the artist and request access.
3. Follow Apple's steps to confirm your role. Apple reviews each request.

TikTok for Artists and other stores

TikTok and several other stores have their own artist tools and their own sign-up steps. Look for the artist or creator section of that store, and use the artist name exactly as it appears on your release.

If the store asks your distributor to confirm

Some stores ask the distributor to confirm that you're the artist or represent them. If that happens, send us a message from the chat on this page, or email team@ammdistro.com. Include the store, the artist name, the profile link and the email address you used for the request.

Spotify numbers inside AMM Distro

You don't need your own Spotify for Artists login to see streaming numbers in AMM Distro. The Analytics page shows store reports for your releases, and some accounts also see a Spotify tab with Spotify for Artists numbers. See Spotify for Artists numbers in AMM Distro.

Common questions

I requested access and was turned down.

The store makes that decision. Check that you requested access to the right profile and used your real details, then try again or contact the store's support. If the store says it needs something from your distributor, contact us.

Can a manager or label get access too?

Yes, these tools let artists add team members. Ask the artist, or whoever already has access, to invite you.

My profile has no picture or bio.

You add the picture and bio yourself once you have access to the store's artist tool. We don't control them.
