Take a release down
There's no takedown button in the dashboard. To remove a release from stores, contact your manager or our support team and we'll handle it for you.
Ask for a takedown
Send us a message from the chat on this page, or email team@ammdistro.com, with:
- The release name, and the UPC if you have it. You'll find the UPC on the release page.
- Whether it should come down from every store or only some.
- Why you want it taken down. If the reason is a mistake we can fix with an edit, such as a typo in a title or a missing credit, we can often fix it without taking the release down. See Change a release that's already live.
If you work with a manager at AMM, you can ask them directly.
What you'll see on the release
Status | What it means |
|---|---|
Takedown Requested | "A request has been made to remove this release from stores." |
Taken Down | "This release has been removed from streaming platforms." |
Each store removes the release on its own schedule, so it can stay visible in some stores for a while after the request.
Deleting vs taking down
You can only delete a release yourself while it's a Draft or after it's been Rejected. Once a release has been submitted and approved, it can only be taken down by us.
Common questions
Will I still get paid for streams from before the takedown?
Stores report earnings a month or two after the streams happen, so earnings from before the takedown can still appear on later statements.
Can I put the release back up later?
Contact us. Tell us which release it was and when it was taken down.
Can I take a release down from just one store?
Ask us. Say which store in your message.
Someone else uploaded my music, or my release was removed because of a copyright claim.
Contact us with links. Your manager handles copyright claims and disputes.
