Can I release AI-generated music?
No. AMM Distro doesn't accept AI-generated music, AI vocals presented as a real artist, or AI-generated artist personas. Every artist confirms this when they apply, and we review releases and audit catalogs for it.
What the policy covers
We don't distribute:
- Songs where the music or vocals were generated by AI
- AI vocals presented as if a real person sang them
- Artist identities that are AI-generated, such as an invented singer with AI photos and an AI voice
When you apply, you tick My music and my artist identity are not AI-generated. before you can continue.
What happens if AI-generated music is found
AI use can be a reason to reject a release. It can also be a reason for us to stop accepting releases from an account. Our review team checks releases before they go to stores.
Tools that help you make music
Many artists use software with automated features for tasks such as mixing, mastering or separating stems. If a release asks whether AI tools were used, for the audio or the artwork, answer accurately. If you're unsure whether something you used is allowed, ask your manager or contact support before you submit.
Artwork
Cover art goes through review with the rest of the release. If you're asked whether the artwork is AI-generated, answer accurately.
Common questions
I used an AI tool for one part of the song. Can I still release it?
Ask before you submit. Tell your manager or support what the tool did, and we'll tell you whether the release can go out.
Someone uploaded an AI copy of my voice or my music
Contact support with links to what you found. If it's on a store or platform, also report it to that platform directly.
