# Something went wrong with a campaign

If you weren't paid, were paid the wrong amount, or the brief changed after you were accepted, you can open a dispute on the claim. An ANTHM admin reviews both sides and decides where the money goes. While a dispute is open, payment on that campaign is on hold for both sides.

## Before you open a dispute

Many problems have a simpler fix:

* **Revision requested and you disagree?** Read the note on the claim, then reply with your reasoning when you resubmit.
* **Paid less than the listing?** On some campaigns, ANTHM's commission comes out of the campaign pay. Check what was credited in **Earnings**.
* **Approved but not paid yet?** Payouts are sent in rounds, and only once your payout method and tax form are in place. See "Get paid as a creator".

## Open a dispute

You can open a dispute on any claim that has been accepted. You can't open one on a claim that's only **Applied**, **Not Accepted** or **Cancelled**.

1. Open the claim from **My Work**.
2. At the bottom, click **Something went wrong**.
3. Under **What went wrong?**, choose **I wasn't paid**, **I was paid the wrong amount**, **The brief changed** or **Something else**.
4. Under **Tell us what happened**, give dates, links and what you expected. Only an admin sees what you write here.
5. Click **Open dispute**.

The claim then shows "Payment on hold": "A dispute is open on this campaign. Payment is frozen for both sides until an ANTHM admin resolves it." If the payment was already part of a payout being prepared, it's taken back out until the dispute is settled.

## While it's open

The dispute appears on the claim with its status:

| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| **Open** | We've received it. |
| **Under review** | An admin is looking into it. |
| **Escalated** | It needs a closer look and may take longer. |
| **Resolved** | A decision was made. The outcome is shown. |
| **Withdrawn** | The person who opened it withdrew it. |

Click **Add evidence** to attach a file, like a screenshot of a message or a payment. If the problem is sorted out, click **Withdraw** to close the dispute; the hold on the payment is lifted. Only the person who opened the dispute can withdraw it.

The artist or label can also open a dispute on your claim, for example if they think nothing was delivered, the video was off brief, or the post was taken down. You'll see it on the claim and can add evidence.

## Possible outcomes

* Paid out in full to the creator
* Split: part paid out, the rest returned to the campaign
* Returned to the campaign in full
* No change: the claim stands as it was
