# Who owns my music?

You do. Distributing with AMM Distro doesn't take ownership of your masters. Funding and label partnerships are separate deals you can choose to pitch for, and they're never a condition of distribution.

What AMM Distro does get is the right to deliver your releases to stores and collect the money they earn, under the agreements you sign with us.

## Your agreements with AMM

* **Account agreement.** Some accounts sign an agreement before they can submit releases. If yours is waiting, you'll see "Your account has a pending contract that must be signed before submitting releases."
* **Release agreement.** Some releases need a signed agreement after approval. The release shows **Awaiting Signature** until you sign it in the app.

Find everything you've signed, or need to sign, under **Agreements** in the sidebar. You can download a PDF of each signed agreement.

## Your royalty share

AMM Distro takes a share of royalties. Your share is set in your agreement, and your manager walks you through it before you sign. Your statements show the label's share and your royalty split on every line.

## The © and ℗ lines

When you build a release, the **Record label** field fills in both the © (copyright) and ℗ (sound recording) lines that stores display. Use your label name or your artist name. The year comes from the release date.

This text is what stores show. It doesn't change who owns the music; your agreements do.

## Your collaborators

If you work with producers, featured artists or co-writers, put what you agreed in writing. On a release's **Agreements** tab you can send a collaborator agreement for both of you to sign. AMM Distro handles signing and payouts, and it isn't a party to your agreement. Once everyone signs, the shares become royalty splits.

## ISRCs and UPCs

We assign ISRCs (track codes) and UPCs (release codes) when your release doesn't already have them. They identify your recordings and releases in stores. If you're bringing a release from another distributor, keep its existing ISRCs so streams and playlist placements stay linked.

## Common questions

### Can I take my music down or move it somewhere else?
There's no takedown button in the dashboard. Contact your manager or support and tell us which releases and why. Your agreement sets out the terms for taking releases down or moving them.

### My label signed me. Who owns the masters?
That depends on your contract with the label, not on AMM Distro. Ask your label.
