# Payout fees

A small processing fee is taken from each payout. It comes out of the payout itself, so you don't pay anything separately, and you never pay a fee when you're not being paid.

## Common questions

### Why is my payout less than my balance?
The processing fee is taken from the payout. If you're outside the US, tax may also be withheld before you're paid. See *Tax withholding for artists outside the US*.

### I have a question about a specific payout.
Send us a message from the chat on this page, or email team@ammdistro.com, with the date of the payout.
